I still think if you're going for a certain look not priming will work but I've struggled with paint dragging, streaking, and looking just…bad since I've started painting and now I have a much better grasp on WHY you prime. I brought canvas from shop and colored it with blue acrylic paint after that I draw with white acrylic paint but after some time white color get lighten. Is this just because of gesso not applied on canvas?
