Interesting that your tint is the same kinda tone. Some artists I look for advice from use a contrasting colour especially when it'll be covered with impasto
I’ve just started using oil paint so I still don’t know a lot about it. Can I paint wet on wet like acrylic or does the second color blend into the first color.
Btw Justin sorry forgot to add to my previous post I’m heading to michaels to grab a few new tubes I noticed they have two different gamblin oil products. I know you’ve mentioned the 1980 line but they also have a line that just says gamblin they are both by gamblin and both level 3 but for instance 150ml of white in 1980 is 16.00 and the same size in the plain gamblin is 27 do u know the difference in these two product lines by chance and which would u recommend
The way the lights are hitting the canvas makes a glare that detracts from the painting. I noticed when your shadow hits the canvas, the picture looks much better. I think that would be fine if the lights were at a different angle.
Another great one Justin. Def is a throwback style to me love it!!!! I got to try the titanium from gambling too your clouds stand out so vividly and mine seem to want to blend in right away wether I try to blend them or but I don’t get that think crisp billowy edge on the top I think it’s the titanium I am currently using from Windsor and newton. Once there run out it’s time to either buy your set or look into trying gambling. I still have some tubes from me ross and they are still good as well but as u know some of those colors went sooooo fast the tubes u got with his masters set even wasn’t that big.
You may want to look at a different position of your lighting because there are shadows. You'll like the knife I've been using it for years. Happy holiday to u and your family.
Great painting. It seems with your new lighting there is a lot more shadows on your painting. Maybe you could adjust them better. I went back and looked at some of your old videos i saved, the shadows are not there. I hope this helps. As always great job and thankyou.
Hi Justin another great painting forward slash video, 😀 I just thought I'd write it as it came to me 😁 and the lighting is now very professional and I think it would be a great idea if you made a video about what equipment you use but also keep painting
Question: Why are mountains always painted with ice? Just because Bob Ross did it? I would have liked to see mountains without ice, with the different rock colors.
Love your t shirt. I want to paint with oils, but don't have the space to do it. So, I use acrylics or water color and do my best to follow along with you. You are just absolutely awesome as an artist and a person. Just saying.
What an Amazing Teacher you are Justin! Thank you for the giving us the details that make us Artists!!! I just became a member on your Patreon, Justin!
Hey Justin! I watch all of your videos and I learned a lot already. My question is : I am painting only in acryl, which base should I use on the canvas before I start? Greatings and love from Austria

HI , great painting! What palette are you using?
question: do you let the tint dry before painting the basic lines?
I cannot access your podcast. Why not choose a platform that android users can enjoy too? 🙁

Are the gamblin paints you use comparable to Bob Ross oil paints? Thank you
thank you dear Justin.
