Grayish toned colors are actually called "chromatic grays" (just if you were curious 😀 I recently learned about it!)

Hi Chris! Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I struggle with making my paintings too dark and making it “perfect” And I end up overdoing it. How do I let my paintings be loose?

I like the consistency of your paint. For some reason my paint always ends up looking like it's been mixed with sand and sticks. My paintings have these little sandgrain blobs on them and I have to pick them off with my palette knife. Have you ever had this problem?

Thank you for the awesome advice. I’m new to painting in general (like 4 months). Is it possible to tweak/correct paintings that are currently “finished”? Do you have advice on this? I did a piece that had three flowers and though I had done a really good sketch, when it came to actually doing the colors, I couldn’t figure out how to make each petal come to life, so it looks kinda blocky. I can’t describe it.

Love the videos! How metal/Shakespearian of you. I would love a video breaking down drawing. Patreon, and YouTube. I actually find help in a step-by-step, and a quick breakdown.

Yes! Please make a drawing video.
My issue is that I always end up having weirdly skewed paintings because my drawing sucks.

Thanks for good practical advice. Good idea to make small paintings to get colors and values right. Do you ever try non-toxic paint thinners? Could you talk about that? Love your videos!
