I’m questioning if this is truly ala prima. How can the castle be laid out out on top without moving the underneath colors?

Do you use a medium on canvas before painting? Liquid clear?

There is a real disconnect between the sky and the water because you didn't reflect any of the sky colors in the water. Also, an old abandoned castle would not have flags flying (just being picky about that point). Thank you for sharing your videos. Enjoy the narration and your sense of humor 🙂

I made a mistake today. I was walking up stairs with my painting and it flopped forward and came out of the easel
. It smudged 3 trees that i had scrape off from the black canvas to try and salvage it and put some new ones in its place. I will definitely learn from that one .
