Seriously though, I started art welding metal art and I constantly using different mediums to create. My art instincts are used to steel, aluminum, plastics and other firm materials. I can’t get with canvas sorry. For painting for my house, I will also use MDF or even Baltic Burch Plywood. Thanks! I am not young chronologically and when I was young was told I made too much mess to paint so became an actor. I can’t draw properly but love small detailed drawing – but painting clouds is heaven! I would like to progress, hard to give myself the time. November 19, 2021 at 5:38 am Diane Hansma Log in to Reply Love your work and the savings also!! I am 65 and used to work with oils years ago, then started to work with acrylics a few months ago. I cannot afford larger canvases, but I wondered how you would hang your paintings using MDF!! Do you use 1/8 thickens and also, how do you hang them. I would love to hear back for you!! Thank you for sharing your talents. Bless your heart. Haha Love it! November 19, 2021 at 7:55 am mjpete27 Log in to Reply SO good job with the oils and the reason for priming especially with oil paint is the paint can actually attack the surface and cause it to rot or be eaten! You can paint with acrylic paint then after it dry's go over that with oil paints and that is another way to prime a surface! Most house paints are NOT archival and will fade over time. It is not made to last! this way we have to keep painting our houses! Another example of planned obsolescence! I like your picture before it got so dark as it is I am not sure about it, like you said maybe you need to stop early and come back and NOT do anything? November 19, 2021 at 3:54 pm Walter Paquette Log in to Reply Her work is amazing. Although I've painted using acrylics (her classes were in oil), they came out great. I've never had formal training and have painted for only a few years. I would love to see a detailed list of the paint colors used with each segment to help me get the correct paints. I really love her work.
