Timely n succinct advises! Current oil painting of mine too many hard edges. Too distracting. U r right! Dark paint over light color to soften edges and to transition tip useful too!
About edges in full color palette. When painting dark into light, the transition color should be soft but with high chroma or low chroma color?
Beautiful work! Do you use any medium in ur paint like a little oil or damar varnish?
