In college for graphics I legit could not get perspective projects. Always failed them. Just never works in my brain. ????

The road on the top drawing looks like a pyramid in the centre

I took art I in high school and my teacher never taught us the correct way to do this, only what a vanishing point was so I got a B bc I did the top example. 10 years later I finally have the answer I was looking for

But as your horizon line goes downwards the building tops will start to become flatter. So I guess it’s a matter of “perspective” ????

I mean, talking from a purely artistic standpoint. The top picture would be a perfect transition point for the bottom picture if you wanted to do animation.

How do you know what angle to use for the top? How do you decide how steep/shallow?

I still like the top one better. It has a slightly surreal feeling to it or something.
I like my art to not line up with reality in weird ways like this, it makes it feel off-putting in the best way

Remember the rules of art exist so you know when and how to break them
