Interesting. What was the consistency of your oil paint? You say lightly blend, but I still can hear your pressure through your microphone. Do add talcum powder? To add extra consistency. Otherwise, if I don't sop up the oil in advance, every time I try to blend, I make mud. I've taken to using paper as a palette to sop up excess oil before I paint.
Very well instructed…great artwork and tips! I would recommend (two cents here) downward strokes for the tree leaves as most are downwardish….I have subscribed!
Very beautiful painting. Next time try not to do so many wide shots that show you actually painting. Your beauty distracts from your art. You are too pretty.
the quest for realism in art is a worrying trend . it looks nice but leaves us wondering what happened to the subconscious flare for uniqueness , Art took a very strange turn after 1970 , A sort of mechanical unemotional turn , We accept some very strange artist work as credible , almost as if we are scrambling to find sense in the world , we think they have an answer to our lives , they do not . Pablo Picasso was a far more deeper thinker , rejecting the physical obsession for the subconscious struggle of humanity . He painted the inner life . I wonder what is going to be next in the world of art .
Oh, .you are just so good! Thumbs down?? There are always jealous morons among us Michael mindless YouTubers who just sign in to do just that sad but true. You are a marvelous Artist Michael no one can take that away from you.
